Department of Computer Engineering

Established in 1991 with an initial intake of 40 students, the Department of Computer Engineering has grown tremendously over the years and now admits 330 students annually. The department has built a strong reputation for academic excellence, innovation, and industry collaboration, producing highly skilled professionals who are well-equipped to meet the challenges of the ever-evolving global technology landscape.

Demonstrating consistent academic distinction, the department has achieved 23 AP ECET ranks below 10 and 224 ranks below 100 between 2019 and 2025. Notably, it secured the State 1st Rank in AP ECET in both 2022 and 2024, reflecting its commitment to high-quality teaching, mentoring, and student success.

The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and advanced digital resources, providing students with hands-on experience in the latest technologies and real-world applications.

Every year, students from the department achieve excellent placement opportunities, with several securing offers from leading multinational companies. Many graduates receive annual compensation packages up to ₹8 lakhs per annum. During the academic year 2023–24, eight students were placed in ThoughtWorks with an annual package of ₹8 LPA, underscoring the department’s strong industry interface and career development initiatives.
