COMMITTEE FOR SC/ST

The A.A.N.M. & V.V.R.S.R. Polytechnic is committed to providing an environment that promotes diversity and respects all individuals regardless of colour, religious belief, or culture. While upholding diversity in all forms, the institution is equally committed to ensuring the protection of every individual, including SC/ST students, strictly adhering to the provisions of the Constitution of India.

In order to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students, it is essential to establish an SC/ST Cell with the following objectives:

1. To counsel and guide SC/ST students of A.A.N.M. & V.V.R.S.R. Polytechnic on academic, personal, and social matters, and help them effectively manage the demands of student life.
2. To ensure a safe and secure campus environment for all SC/ST students.
3. To provide prompt counselling and support during any emotional emergencies arising due to events on campus.
4. To establish a grievance-redressal mechanism for SC/ST students, whenever required.
5. To safeguard the rights, protection, and reservations guaranteed to SC/ST students under the Constitution of India.
6. To provide special opportunities to enhance the career development of SC/ST students through various academic and co-curricular clubs and activities.

The SC/ST Cell will offer comprehensive preventive and proactive support services to all SC/ST students enrolled in various programmes of the institution. The overarching goal of the Cell is to promote the psychological well-being and holistic development of these students so they can fully benefit from the educational opportunities available at the Polytechnic.

In accordance with the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (Act No. 33 of 1989, dated 11.09.1989) and as per AICTE norms, an SC/ST Committee is hereby established.
